Her father was sent to France as an officer in World War I. Her sister, Audre Hanneman (1927-2009) was the much-admired author of the Ernest Hemingway Comprehensive Bibliography. She leaves a nephew, Mike Hanneman, and his wife Shirley in Raymore; Jamie Hanneman Ganga and Shawn Hanneman and their families in Cass County. Karen Soulis is a niece. Marjorie published books, "MAXIMUS in SUMMER," and her unpublished memoir; "NETTIE'S DAUGHTERS and the Hemingway Mystic" were considered her finest work.
