Larry was born to Robert and Loraine Cummings on September 17th, 1952 in Kansas City, Missouri. He graduated from Grandview High School and went on to serve in the US Air Force as an airplane mechanic. Most of his adult life he worked as a Carman for the railroad. He was definitely a jack of all trades and was often the one people turned to when they needed some advice or help with a project. He was always there to help out a neighbor or friend. You name it from trains, planes, automobiles, plumbing, electrical or calm cool life advice, he was the man you were looking for. His knowledge for knowing how to fix things was infinite. He appreciated nature and enjoyed spending time fishing, hunting, or taking driving trips to beautiful landscapes with his family. Making others laugh was something he loved to do. You could hardly leave a conversation without him telling a good joke or story.
He is survived by his wife of 47 Years Patti Cummings; children and spouses: Michael & Sara Cummings; Joe & Cameo Cummings; grandkids: Preston, Connor, Morea & Brecken and sister: Judy Carpenter. He is predeceased by his parents Robert and Loraine; sister Joan Hall and brother Bruce Cummings.
