Jesus Resendiz Sr.

Jesus “JR” Resendiz Sr., age 70, of Grandview, Missouri, passed October 9, 2018 at Kansas City Hospice House, Kansas City, Missouri.He was a patriot and a self-described “civil servant” who spent his entire life serving the people of this great nation. He was called to duty at the age of 19 to serve in Vietnam, and then he served the people as an INS agent protecting America’s southern borders in his mature years. He retired a parole officer, where he reached many wayward youth and taught them the American way.

His love for his country was surpassed only by his love for his wife, Martha. The Beatles succinctly wrote in their song “Martha My Dear”:

Martha my dear you have always been my inspiration

be good to me     Martha my love

Don't forget me   Martha my dear

His wife, Martha; his two sons, Jesse and Eddie; his daughter-in-law, Jill, Jesse's beloved wife; and Alex, his only grandson; along with countless relatives, friends and colleagues, dearly miss him.
