DEVORY SHAWNNON MUNNS

MAY 2, 1974 - OCTOBER 15, 2021

Devory Shawnnon Munns was born on May 2, 1974 in the city of Wynne, Arkansas to Paris and Ella Munns, now deceased.  He is the youngest of four children born to them. Shawnnon died on October 15, 2021.

Shawnnon (Devory to some), is survived by his wife Renee and her two daughters Kayla and Aaliyah Walker, his daughters Shallena, Asia and Abbey Munns, stepson Zach, two sisters, Janice Taylor and Ora Jarrett (husband Bob), brother, Robert, Aunt Forestine London (husband Johnny London) and a host of nephews, nieces, cousins and many friends who loved him dearly.

Shawnnon was a very mild mannered and good hearted person, a quality which endeared him to others.

Devory enjoyed a happy rural childhood in the cities of Wynne and Forest City Arkansas.  From childhood he was good with his hands and enjoyed working with his dad and other friends with wood and machinery. In his early teens he moved to Riverside California along with his mother. His life consisted of several moves around California until finally settling  in the city of  Kansas city, MO. and making it his home.

Shawnnon enjoyed a rare privilege in his life and that was being able to work on a job that he loved.  He loved being a driver.  A love he shared with his brother Robert who encouraged him to pursue this love.  He and his brother Robert had many enjoyable conversations about their experiences.  In his last job he was able to enjoy driving a travel bus which allowed him to spend time on the road as he liked to do.

Devory was raised as one of Jehovah’s Witnesses and made the Bible truth his own in his adult life along with his wife Renee.  He was active in his faith and was looking forward to being baptized as one of Jehovah’s Witnesses along with his wife Renee in the near future.  Shawnnon and Renee shared their love of the Bible and its promises with their family and many others.
