Derek Leigh Grimmett of Kansas City passed away on February 10, 2024. He was 70 years old. Born on December 31, 1953, in Akron, Ohio, Derek was the son of Lucian and Clara Grimmett. He is survived by Gail Knox.

Derek's dedication to his country was evident through his service in the United States Air Force, where he reached the rank of Sergeant.

A graveside service to honor Derek's life and military service took place at Leavenworth National Cemetery in Leavenworth, Kansas.
