Deborah Brown

Deborah Ellen Brown passed away Sunday, June 20, 2021 at her home in Kansas City, Missouri.

Debbie was born December 23, 1958 in St. Joseph, Mo., daughter of Max and Vivian Elder of Wathena, Ks. She graduated from Wathena High School in 1976 and Platte College of St Joseph, Mo in 1978.

She worked for Black and Veatch, and as an executive secretary at  Armstrong Teasdale Law firm for many years.

Debbie of the sparkling eyes and ready smile married the love of her life. Bob Brown, on October 25, 1980 in Kansas City, Mo. She described herself as  being a ‘Mom, Grandma, and owner of several dogs.’ Debbie loved to read, watch thriller movies and play online games.

Debbie is survived of the home by her husband of over 40 years, Bob Brown, her daughter, Erica Brown, Kansas City, Mo., and son, Sean Brown (Jessica), Liberty, Mo., grandchildren: Lilly Bullard, Jacob Funk, Liam Harvey, and baby girl Evelyn Brown. Her siblings are brother, Larry Elder (Elaine), Salinas, Ca.; sisters, Murelene (Joe) Keith, King City, Mo., Linda (Ron) Renfro, Kissimmee, Fla., Janette (Harold) Thornton, St. Joseph, Mo., Berta (Ronn) Munsterman, Cedar Rapids, Ia, and Dianna (Cecil) Hicks, Elwood, Ks. She had many nieces and nephews in her life who loved her very much.

Debbie was preceded in death by her parents, and brothers, James and Eugene Elder.
