Carl "Ed" Dean

CARL (Ed) EDWIN DEAN

Carl Edwin Dean, of Kansas City passed May 19, 2021. Ed was born July 23, 1941 in Prior, Oklahoma, grandson of Henry Covil Holderman. Ed was CFO for Continental Disc Corp.

He is survived by his wife Karen; children from his first marriage to Panela Stone Smith: daughter Holly Brown, son Earl Andrew Dean, and grandson Phillip Brown. Ed is also survived by his step-daughters: Cathy Palmer and Cindy Griggs (husband Greg Tindle), step-grandchildren: Catherine Campbell (husband Shawn Campbell) and Ryan Smith; step-great-grandchildren: Lili and Nick Campbell.

Ed was a Citizen of the Cherokee Nation and a member of the Heartland Squares Square Dance Club, Mid-America Mensa, and the American Association of Individual Investors. Ed also served in the United States Navy on the aircraft carrier, USS Ranger.

A Celebration of Life will be held in the future when family and friends are in the country and able to gather safely.
