Bobby "Bob" Harmon

Mr. Bobby Dean Harmon, passed away peacefully at home in Shawnee, Kansas, surrounded by his family at age 78 on April 18, 2018. Bob was born on February 28, 1940 in Murray, Kentucky, to the late Ilena and Oakly Harmon. Bob served in the Air Force from 1957 to 1964 and continued in electrical construction throughout his working life. Bob is survived by his loving wife of 59 years, Mary Alice (Hutchison). He is also survived by his brother Don (Carolyn) Harmon, his sons, Steve (Marsha) and Chris (Kellie); daughters, Terri (Jack) West and Dirinda (Mike) Joshi; grandchildren, Michael (Marie) Joshi, Monica (Jack) Waldorf, Matthew (Rachel) Joshi, Joshua West, and Jessica West; great grandchildren Harry and Benjamin Waldorf, and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his brother Bill Harmon. He was a member of Overland Park Church of Christ since 1965. Friends and family are invited to attend a visitation on Friday, April 27 from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. at the Overland Park Church of Christ, 13400 W 119th Street, Overland Park, Kansas, 66213. A memorial service will follow from 11:00 a.m. A private inurnment at Mt. Herman Cemetery in Sedalia, Missouri will follow. In lieu of flowers the family suggests donations to OP Church of Christ or Saint Luke's Hospice.
