It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Blake Wilhoit, a beloved member of the Kansas City community. Blake, born in Kansas City, Missouri on June 9, 1964, left this world on January 31, 2024.
Throughout his life, Blake found immense joy in various hobbies and interests. From his passion for music from the 60s and 70s to his love for Corvettes, he was known for his vibrant spirit and unwavering enthusiasm. In fact, he was in the process of establishing The Kansas City Corvette Club, a testament to his dedication and commitment to his interests. Above all else, Blake cherished moments spent with friends and family, creating treasured memories that will be forever held dear.
Blake leaves behind a legacy that will be remembered fondly by all who knew him. He is predeceased by his mother Ursula Wilhoit, father John Wilhoit, brother Brice Wilhoit, sister Breanna Wilhoit. He is survived by aunts, an uncle, cousins, extended family members, and dear friends. His presence in their lives brought light and laughter that will be deeply missed.
In lieu of flowers, the family has requested that donations be made in Blake's memory to the Kansas City Public Library Foundation. This kind gesture will honor his memory and continue his legacy of giving back to the community he cherished.
