Are there any laws governing cremation?
|Cremation regulations vary from state-to-state. |
In the State of Kansas an investigator from the Office of the Chief Medical Examiner must review the death certificate and sign an authorization allowing us to proceed with cremation. In the state of Missouri, a death certificate must be completed with the cause of death by the deceased physician. In both states we must have a signed cremation authorization by the next of kin for us to begin the cremation.
